Varsity & Pelham HS

At Pelham High School, our Ice Hockey program has a long-standing tradition of excellence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Representing the Pelicans, our teams compete with heart and pride across all levels—Varsity, Junior Varsity (JV), and Modified. Whether it’s their first time on the ice or they’re seasoned players, our student-athletes are dedicated to pushing their limits, supporting each other, and striving for success.

Varsity Ice Hockey

The Varsity Ice Hockey team at Pelham High School is the pinnacle of our program. Comprised of our most skilled and experienced athletes, the team competes at the highest level of high school ice hockey. Each player is committed to the rigorous training, discipline, and teamwork required to represent Pelham on a competitive stage. Our Varsity team strives for excellence in every game, embodying the Pelican spirit of determination, leadership, and pride. With a strong coaching staff and a history of success, the Varsity Pelicans aim to build upon their legacy year after year.

JV Ice Hockey

The Junior Varsity Ice Hockey team provides an opportunity for developing players to hone their skills and gain valuable experience before advancing to the Varsity level. JV athletes are dedicated to improving their technical and tactical abilities while learning to compete at a higher level. The JV team focuses on growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship, ensuring that each player is prepared to contribute to the future of Pelham’s hockey program. These players are the future stars of the Varsity team, building a foundation of success and camaraderie.

Modified Ice Hockey

The Modified Ice Hockey team is where young Pelicans begin their journey in competitive ice hockey. Open to middle school students, the Modified team offers a supportive environment for beginners to learn the fundamentals of the sport while fostering a love for the game. Our coaches emphasize skill development, teamwork, and having fun on the ice. The Modified program serves as the foundation of Pelham’s hockey tradition, nurturing the next generation of athletes who will one day play at the JV and Varsity levels.

Our Values

At Pelham, we believe that ice hockey is more than just a sport—it’s an opportunity for students to develop important life skills such as discipline, leadership, teamwork, and perseverance. Our program emphasizes the importance of academic achievement, personal responsibility, and community involvement, ensuring that our student-athletes succeed both on and off the ice.
